  ๐Ÿฒ Baked Potato Kofta

๐Ÿงพ Ingredients

 0.5 kilo minced meat

large grated onion

Salt, black pepper, meat spices

or 4 medium potatoes

2 tomatoes, grated or blended

garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon tomato sauce

tablespoon oil or ghee

Hot water

Garlic pepper (optional)


๐Ÿ‘จ‍๐Ÿณ Preparation Method

Prepare the Kofta

In a large bowl, mix the minced meat with the grated onion and spices well.

Shape them into fingers or small balls, depending on your preference.

Brown the kofta in a pan with a drop of oil until they take on some color, or place them directly in a tray if you prefer a thinner texture.


Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into medium-thick rings.

If you like, you can lightly brown them in a pan or bake them in the oven.

Prepare the Sauce:

In a pan, sautรฉ the garlic with a tablespoon of oil.

Add the tomato juice, a tablespoon of sauce, a pinch of salt, and pepper, and let it simmer for a while.


Assemble:

In a baking dish, arrange a layer of potatoes, then the kofta on top, followed by the remaining potatoes.

Pour the tomato sauce over the potatoes. If desired, add sliced ​​bell peppers.

Add a little hot water to cook the potatoes.


Baking:

Cover the tray with foil and bake in a moderate oven (180-200°C) for about 45 minutes.

Remove the foil for the last 10 minutes to give it a nice brown color.

Serve with white rice or baladi bread and a green salad or tahini. ๐Ÿ˜‹
